Windows Vista Cracked?

I’m not sure if this is a credible source for tech news, but I read this from news earlier today : Vista activation cracked by brute force from The Inquirer.

The said crack utilise brute-force attack which defeats the so-called unhackable Windows Vista Activation Code.

Although it might take several hours in order to get the correct through brute-force, the crack is said to work and can be downloaded from Keznews forum website .

Details about how to use the keygen can be obtained here : http://keznews.com/2431_Vista_Brute_Force_Keygen

It is important to note that, I haven’t personally this crack myself as all of my personal computers barely meet up with Windows Vista high system requirements.

So use it at your own risk! Otherwise, enjoy!

Optimise and Compress your MS Powerpoint slide

I found a cool app (PPTMinimizer) that lets you optimise your Microsoft Powerpoint slide to a smaller size. This is achieve by compacting the Powerpoint slide by removing unused information contained within it.

Additionally, PPTMinimizer has a strong compression setting that dramatically reduces Powerpoint slides size to 30-80% making it load faster in the process.

Smaller size makes the slide easier to be mail through the internet (especially over 10MB in size), thus saving your waiting time and makes it easier for your recepient to download the attachments.

Here’s some screenshot of PPTMinimiser in action,

You can download PPTMinimizer at Tucows

How to flush Windows XP DNS Cache

Sometimes it is annoying discover that the your domain still points to an old location instead of a new one, after you’ve changed it’s NS record.

This happens because Windows XP tries to speed things up by placing the DNS information about that site, into a DNS cache on your PC.

The easiest way to fix this, is to go to Start Menu->Run, and type in “ipconfig /flushdns” without the quote, and the problem should be solved soon after that.
