Splog or Spam Blog is a relatively new form of spam advertising in the blogosphere. These spammers use blogs and syndication feed as a way to to spread their spammy advertising campaign across the internet.

Spam Blogs is by nature is different from email spam, because you can’t not send unsolicited advertising using blog.Thus the motivations for creating spam blogs are different too, but it is likely spam blogs exists because the spammers want to attract web visitors from search engines and by earning money using (contextual) advertising in the process.
Spam blog is an annoyance because they content little to no content, and the content of spam blogs are usually copied directly from another sources like another blog or from article previously published on the internet.

You can use the AntiSplog and Splogspot service to report spam blog. using http://example.com as example.

Splogspot

- goto http://splogspot.com/pages/submit and use the form to submit the splog url.

Splog pollutes blogosphere, put an end to splogs now.
